Bee Hive Inspection !

What a perfect way to kick-start July 4th weekend. Last Friday, our curators performed beehive inspection with Wile Bee Farm owner Dean Wile.

The Terra Cura incubator farm directly abuts the Stewart/ Person Preserve, a 27 acres Wildland Trust consisting of hiking trails through pine-oak forests, herring ladders, ponds. swampy lowlands and brooks-sides that supports a forest of red maple, yellow birch, sweet pepperbush etc.  As part of our efforts to grow biodiversity at and around our farm lab, Dean has helped us installed 8 hives beginning of June. A real boost to the pollinator population!

Outreach at Union Square Farmer's Market

On June 6th, our curators Adam and Eva co-hosted an outreach booth with Friends of the Community Growing Center at Union Square Farmer's Market in Somerville, MA. Local seedlings started at the Community Growing Center were sold to support their volunteer-based operations , as well as engaging local interests in the coming design upgrades with Terra Cura. Check out permaculture partnership in action!
