Somerville community growing center strategic planning

Following an extensive renovation process, our long-term community partner Somerville Growing Community Center reaches a new beginning. Beyond green infrastructure, how does the stewards of this place evolve their roles in service to diverse communities and the changing needs of this place?

Shifting gears from direct to indirect work, Terra Cura and the Friends of the Community Growing Center is working together to facilitate a strategic planning process using the Regenerative Development Practice (RDP) approach. The goal is to engage the community in developing a shared direction, grow a culture of learning and curiosity, allowing priorities for cultural programming and site management to emerge over time.

The pilot community reflection session in Fall 2022 generated great insights and lines of inquiry. Stay tuned for 2023 schedule!
